Healthy Hair Tips

Visit Us @ www.MumbaiRock.com

Nowadays, not only women but men too are willing to pay any amount of money for finding out the secret behind healthy hair.
Irrespective of the type of hair you are born with, follow these 5 tips and see the results yourself: healthy and luxurious hair.
1) Diet: Healthy hair beings with your body. Dark green vegetables such as spinach and broccoli are an excellent source of vitamin A and vitamin C which is needed to produce sebum, the body’s natural hair conditioner. Coconut is also considered as an excellent food for hair. Dairy products such as fresh yoghurts and milk not only strengthen your hair but also add shine to it. Avoid processed and canned foods as they are not really helpful in providing nutrition to your hair. If you maintain a healthy, balanced diet then there’s nothing that can stop you from achieving healthy, happy hair.
2) Hairbrush Usage : Brushing your hair before shampooing is essential as it stimulates the scalp and promotes blood flow. It also helps in removing scalp flakes and product buildup. Moreover, do not brush your hair when it’s wet as this causes unnecessary breakage and damages hair. Avoid using plastic, metal and nylon brushes as they attack and break the hair cuticle. Finally, brushing your hair regularly will keep it looking healthy and glossy.
3) Blow Drying: Avoid blow-drying your hair as it can make your hair brittle and cause split-ends. Squeeze the water out with a towel and let it dry naturally. If you must use a hair dryer then keep it at the lowest setting possible. Similarly, steer clear of hair straighteners and curling irons.
4) Stress: Stress can have extremely adverse long-term effects on both the quality and the color of your hair. Learn to manage your time well and keep mental pressure at a minimum level. Practice meditation as it is an effective relaxation technique. And last but not the least, get adequate amount of peaceful sleep.
5) Oiling and conditioning: Treat your hair to deep conditioning once every two weeks. They strengthen your hair and protect it against breakage as they penetrate the hair shaft. A warm oil scalp massage twice or thrice a week will also help to keep hair moisturized. Leave it on overnight, if not, then at least for an hour or two before shampooing your hair. Regular oiling and conditioning not only result in lustrous, healthy hair but also help in preventing hair loss.

Jaffa Movie Review - Specially For Jaffa's

Vennela Kishore’s maiden directorial venture, ‘Vennela 1.5′, bombed at the Box Office. He has now come up with his second venture ‘Jaffa’, which has Brahmanandam in the lead role. The film has been produced by Ramesh Varma and Anup Rubens composed the music. Let us see how good or bad ‘Jaffa’ is.
Story :
J Falguda a.k.a Jaffa (Brahmanandam) is a software engineer. His sadistic boss Melkote puts him through a lot of stress and keeps making his life miserable. Jaffa has a timid assistant named Sujith (Dhanraj). A chance encounter with Alla Uddin (Venu Madhav) changes Jaffa’s life and he decides to take on his boss Melkote. This leads to unexpected events and Jaffa is blamed for the death of a person.
In jail, Jaffa gains a legendary reputation and jailer Nikki soon becomes his devotee. But Jaffa is not happy to spend time in jail and he wants to escape
Will he succeed in his escape? What difficulties does he face? Will he be able to clear his name of false charges? That forms the rest of the story.
Plus Points :
Brahmanandam has tried his best to take the film forward. He looks perfect for the role of Jaffa and even has one or two funny lines.
Thagubothu Ramesh manages to bring a few laughs as the graveyard care taker. Melkote was ok.
Minus Points :
When you have someone like Brahmanandam in a prime role in your movie and still fail to make people laugh, you have only yourself to blame. In this case, it is Vennela Kishore’s fault. The film’s story becomes clear within the first 10 – 15 mins itself and after that, there is nothing for viewers to even anticipate or guess.
The scenes are poorly written and there is no concept of ‘screenplay’. The pace of the movie is excruciatingly slow and because of this, irritation sets in.
Vennela Kishore’s direction is extremely poor. In fact, some of the short film makers seem to be far more talented that Kishore. Being a good comedian is one thing but writing good comedy is an entirely different ball game. Vennela Kishore should realise this.
Ali, Raghu Babu and Venu Madhav are wasted in terribly scripted characters.
Technical Aspects :
Cinematography is ok in patches. Editing is virtually non existent but then, when the content is so poor, there is only so much an editor can do. Anup Rubens tried his best to liven up the proceedings with his background score.
Production values are very average. Vennela Kishore should perhaps refrain from direction and concentrate on his acting career.
Verdict :
‘Jaffa’ ends up being a Jaffa film. In other words, it is boring, slow and there is no rib-tickling comedy. In the past, Brahmanandam single handedly saved some films from being certain disasters. But sadly, even he cannot do anything here.

Aravind 2 Movie Review- Thrill not Continued...........

Sekhar Suri, who made the well received ‘A Film By Aravind’ many years ago, is back with ‘Aravind 2′. The movie has Srinivas Avasarala, Kamal Kamaraju, Madhavi Latha, Adonica and Sri in the lead roles. Sri Vijayabheri Productions banner has produced the movie. Let us see how the movie is.
Story :
A movie production crew sets out to shoot a film in the Dandeli Forest. The hero (Kamal Kamaraju), second hero (Sri), Heroine (Adonika), Director (Srinivas Avasarala) and Producer (Anchor Vijay) rent out a guest house and wait for their backup crew to arrive.
A psychotic masked killer roams around in the forest and his sole aim is to kill any unfortunate person who crosses his path. As you can imagine, the psychotic killer now sets out to finish off the production crew one by one.
It so happens that Sri has a separate motive for joining the production team. He is on the lookout for his missing friends.
What happens in the end? Will the crew survive the killer’s madness? That is the story of ‘Aravind 2′.
Plus Points :
A lot of effort went into the making of this film and this is quite apparent. The remote locations and the physical nature of the action require a lot of effort. Srinivas Avasarala, Kamal Kamaraju and Bannerjee have performed well. Madhavi Latha looks fine. Adonika is ok.
One or two killing sequences have been executed well. The movie picks up a little pace towards the interval. A few sound effects are nice
Minus Points :
Screenplay is terrible and the writing is atrocious.
When your team-mates go missing, you are expected to show some concern and worry. Someone forgot to tell this to the actors in ‘Aravind 2′. People keep getting killed one by one but the actors continue to behave and act as if everything is fine.
Sree is a terrible misfit for the role of Aravind. He does not have good screen presence and his diction is very bad. He ends up irritating viewers with his performance. There are so many loopholes in the plot and some scenes are just outrageously illogical.
The emotional justification given for the killer’s transformation from an ugly boy into a deranged psychopath is very superficial.
The film’s runtime is way too long and will test the patience of viewers.
The climax episode is terribly handled. Viewers were sniggering and booing the actors towards the end.
The film aims to be a thriller, but for the most part, it is boring and tepid.
Technical Aspects :
K. Rajendra Babu’s cinematography is nice. Editing is terrible and the film does not have a very smooth feel to it. Music and background score are forgettable. Background music is extremely crucial for a film like this to succeed. In this movie, it ends up being loud and cacophonic
Sekhar Suri fails completely as a director in this movie. This movie is not even half as good as ‘A Film by Aravind’.
Verdict :
‘Aravind 2′ is a poor excuse of a thriller. A lot of effort went into the making of this movie but all that is wasted because it is badly written, poorly directed and terribly edited. Logic goes for a big toss in a lot of places. If you go in expecting a thriller like ‘A Film by Aravind’, you will be sorely disappointed.

Himmatwala Movie Review - Skin Show

Maverick director Sajid Khan, who has been making comedy entertainers from the past three years, is back with the official remake of the super hit 80′s flick Himmatwala. Starring super star Ajay Devgan and southern sensation Tamanna Bhatia, this movie has major roles by Paresh Rawal and Mahesh Manjrekar. Already, music of the film has created a huge buzz and the film which carries huge expectations, has finally hit the
screens today. Let’s see how it is.
Story:-
Sher Singh(Mahesh Manjrekar) is a evil landlord in the village of Ram Nagar. He always troubles the poor and dominates the whole village with the help of his wicked brother-in-law Narayan Das(Paresh Rawal). Among all the troubled families is Savitri Devi, who loses her husband and her son Ravi(Ajay Devgan) in the evil deeds caused by Sher Singh.
After 20 long years, as Savitri Devi and her daughter are leading a poor and miserable life, suddenly Ravi reappears in the village and comes to the rescue of his family. He not creates a huge revolt against Sher Singh, but also falls in love with Sher Singh’s daughter Rekha(Tamanna) leaving Sher Singh highly disappointed.
An angry Sher Singh forms a team and finds out some bitter truths about Ravi and creates a rift between his family. What bitter truths does Sher Singh know about Ravi? How does Ravi manage to tackle Sher Singh and his plans? and What happens to his family and love interest during the course of this time? That forms the rest of the story.
Positive Points:-
As we all knew the story of Himmatwala previously, the only perceptive was to see as to how Sajid Khan would present this Himmatwala to the audience. The set up is the same but the script has been aptly molded according to today’s time and age. Paresh Rawal is the best of the lot, and is hilarious in the role of Naarayandas. He not only reprises the role of veteran Khader Khan successfully, but also gives tremendous boost to the whole film.
Ajay Devgan looks apt for his role and plays his part well. Southern Sensation Tamanna makes a rocking debut and looks stunning in all the songs and scenes. Though her role is less, Tamanna oozes glamor and suits her role perfectly. Mahesh Manjrekar and Zarina Wahab do their respective roles well. All the fight sequences, especially the scenes involving the tiger is worth a mention. Music of the film, especially the Sonakshi Sinha is quite good. Comedy scenes between Paresh Rawal and Mahesh Manjrekar are hilarious.
Negative Points:-
Remaking a blockbuster is always a hard task as the director needs to live to its expectations first, and has to cater to the current generation of movie lovers. Sadly, Himmatwala does not fulfill the promise which the promos have created. Even the swanky star cast could not save the film. Length of the movie is painfully long and takes for ever to finish.
Scenes are melodramatic and over the top. One can see some cheezy comedy and many dragged out situations right throughout the film. The main villain who creates such a ruckus is never projected in a right way. Right through the second half his character wanders all over, and makes a confusing watch. One can say that Himmatwala is let down by Sajid Khan’s weak direction and lack of projection in the story.
First half an hour of the movie is very slow. Right when you think that movie looks good, you are disappointed with a dragged out scene. All the emotions, set up looks over the top and will surely not liked by the urban audience.
Technical Aspects:
The only saving grace of Himmatwala are its songs and fights. Music of the film is very peppy and all the songs have shot exceptionally well. Naino mein Sapna, Taki and Thank God Its Friday make a good very watch. Fights of the movie need a special mention here. They look realistic and have been canned supremely well. One fight which involving the tiger is superbly shot and gives a major boost to the film.
Graphics used for canning the tiger scenes is awesome. The tiger and the whole set up looks very real and the way it has been shot is also worth a mention. Screenplay of the movie is a big let down and that is where the falters. Though all Saji Khan’s previous films have similar comedy, his story and situations were strong. But this time around he ends up now where and disappoints completely.
Verdict:-
On the whole, Himmatwala is one film which disappoints compltely. Peppy music, decent action and some hilarious comedy scenes will be loved by the masses. On the flip side, over the top situations and poor direction go completely against the film.. All said and done, Himmatwala fails to live up to its expectations and can only be watched for the tiger who is the real Himmatwala of the film.
